Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) is a scientific parameter for the measurement of similarity of two signals.

Here Peak Signal means maximum possible value of the signal and Noise is the difference between signals. The difference between signals are usually considered as noises.

As per it’s full form, PSNR is the ratio of peak value of the matrix and noise which is difference of the matrices which is being conpared.
